Isaiah 41:10  “Do not fear, for I am with you; do not anxiously look about you, for I am your God. I will strengthen you, surely I help you, surely I will uphold you with My righteous right hand”  you were called into the fellowship of His Son, Jesus Christ our Lord.

The blessings in our lives.... In our darkest moments we have blessings, sometimes it is difficult to reach within and find joy and peace in our turbulent lives. We should cherish the joy and happy moments, but at the same time give thanks for the challenges and difficult times that we face from time to time. It certainly is a challenge, one that I don't particular do very well at times.

I find myself struggling and feeling uncertain, out of place and troubled, and quite frankly it is easy to take the route of “whoa is me”, when in fact not only me but all of us should embrace those difficult moments and challenges, turning to God not away from God, knowing that God promises peace and rest, not to be anxious about anything, but in everything , by prayer and petition, with thanksgiving present in our hearts to God believe, trust and have complete faith. And through our challenges and difficulties our faith and love grows stronger when we turn to God.

In a world of broken promises, God can be counted on.

God promises to hear our prayers but we must communicate with Him.

God promises to set us apart if we allow Him into our lives.

God promises to be our companion ... God promises us peace and rest and the greatest promise of all is

"For God so loved the world that He gave His only begotten Son, that whosoever believeth in Him should not perish, but have everlasting life"

When you and I learn to put our complete trust in God according to His promises our lives will never be the same. We must learn to believe God's precious and magnificent promises. Once we totally believe it will change the way we pray and the way we live. In our troubled times, we CAN and SHOULD STAND ON THE PROMISES OF GOD.

God's Blessings, Kathy Smith (Lay Leader)

My prayer for each one of us:

Dear Jesus, thank you for this day and this moment to be in your presence. You have given us life and have loved us like your own child. Precious Father we give praise and give thanks to you. You are always with us, whether we recognize you or not. You promised that we do not have to face things alone. Disappointments, conflict, broken relationships, loss ... you are always with us and we give thanks for knowing that we are never alone. My prayer is that we allow you to walk with us, to guide each one of us, strengthen us; that you will give us the right words and the wisdom, and courage for each moment and day. You know each one of our needs. So we come before you, thanking you for your loving presence, your gift of forgiveness and grace. Amen.
